Hi, I’m Amy, I’m a qualified Science teacher (Chemistry specialist) and have been tutoring online for over 5 years now. I love teaching and after tutoring alongside being in the classroom for the past few years, I’m currently taking a break from the classroom to be with my baby. Tutoring has been more than just a job for me since I started running my own business but even more so now as I am able to continue to do what I am passionate about whilst being home to be with my daughter during these first few years of her life. She’s currently experiencing her first festive period which even though she can’t talk or walk yet, her little personality is beginning to show through.

As a teacher, the aspect of science and maths I see students struggle with the most is application of their knowledge. This skill becomes especially important of course when thinking about GCSE/A Level results and college/university places. My group classes and 1:1 sessions aim to equip students with the skills they need to succeed in their exams and go onto what they want to without their grades holding them back. I feel like it goes without saying but I’ll say it anyway, I can’t guarantee results because at the end of the day the student needs to put the work in too. I can however, help with honing exam technique, answering any questions on topics you are unsure about and work with you to achieve the best possible grade you can.
